Outdoor activities involve a certain amount of risk and have inherent dangers, and it is up to me, the parent, to make the final judgment as to my child’s participation in FIOC activities. Participation in the FIOC amounts to my agreement, on behalf of myself and my child, to assume all risks and liabilities related to or resulting from all FIOC activities, except in cases of gross negligence. By my child’s participation in FIOC, I hereby agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless all persons and/or entities who comprise the Fox Island Outing Club from liability for any claims which may arise out of my child’s participation in FIOC activities, said persons and/or entities who (through negligence or carelessness) might otherwise be liable to me or my child for any injury, loss or damages.
